About our centre

Our philosophy is built on care, love and nurture, which we believe are the key ingredients in supporting children to feel safe and confident to learn and explore with us. The relationships that we build with both children and their wider family are the foundation for each child’s learning journey with us.

Our curriculum is built on the foundation Te Whāriki and incorporates our local curriculum priorities. This will include aspirations that parents have for their tamariki and we welcome parent input into our programme.

We believe in fostering children’s independence and we do this by allowing children time and opportunities to explore and solve problems themselves. We will create a consistent and predictable environment for our children which will make them feel secure. Our daily rituals will give children a sense of ownership over their day and will support them to feel safe and secure in our home away from home.

We are lucky to have a great outside area and lots of indoor and outdoor flow where children can follow their interests. You are welcome to pop in for a visit at a time that suits you.

Speech Language Therapist consultations

A Speech Language Therapist is on the leadership team and available for consultations with whānau. The SLT will be visiting the centre and spending time in the learning environment each term. To find out dates SLT will be visiting please contact the centre manager.
